From the Ground Up

I have a very lovely sand box for a back yard.

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier. In the past week, the foundation has been dug, rebar has been layed-out, inspections have occurred, concrete poured, and stem walls formed.

The entire process is a jumble of contrasting words. It can be busy, slow, precise, confusing, hectic and intriguing. My backyard is a new territory that I am beginning to traverse. Walking the foot print of the ADU, I try to envision myself in a daily routine. Stepping through the imaginary door and into the imaginary house. Standing in the house and looking outside to the yard. A tiny yard for a tiny house.

Big ideas for a little project.
